Bonk's Market

History

Bonk's Market was started in 1914 by John and Katherine Bonk.  It's beginning was small; but it's purpose was great.  Bonk's produced a full line of meat, produce, groceries, and staple items.  Anything you needed, even things like kerosene, christmas trees, bulk molasses, and lamp oil, could be purchased at Bonk's.  Mr. Bonk's dream was to produce employment for himself and his 5 sons.  As Bonk's grew, so did their reputation for high quality, reasonable price, and utmost integrity in dealing with their customers.  In the late 1930's and the early 1940's it was known as the super-market of Gardner.

Present Day

In 1983 the business was bought by Kevin and Judy Flanagan, and under the tutelage of Stephen Bonk, the last of the five Bonk boys still active in the business, they continued Bonk's original vision - highest quality, fairest price, and utmost integrity.  Bonk's always was and always will be a place where customers become friends and friends become a family of satisfied people.  So, why not become a member of the happy family of satisfied customers known as Bonk's Market?
